Harland Miller's work is shown in the recent movie 'Fifty Shades of Grey'. Harland Miller was asked by the director and a friend of his, Sam Taylor-Johnson, to draw a painting for the movie.

Taylor-Johnson told The Guardian: ?Snobbery just inhibits you... I?m sure the snobs will be coming out in full force with Fifty Shades. It was really polarising in terms of who gave permission and who didn?t ... Ed Ruscha was unbelievably generous. Gary Hume. Harland Miller. Then there were those who were just, like, no way. And you just think ?Come on, trust me. This is going to be OK?.?
