Until June 15th, 2014, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam presents 'Marcel Wanders: Pinned Up 25 Years of Design'. Curated by Ingeborg de Roode, the exhibition presents over 400 objects encompassing furniture, lighting, wallpaper, cutlery, jewelry, packaging, interior design, prototypes and introduces virtual interiors; Wanders' newest experimental creation.
The largest presentation of his work to-date and the first European survey exhibition of Wanders since 1999, the exhibition is divided into three parts; a white zone of analysis into the themes of Wanders' work, a black zone, presenting work of a more personal and often experimental nature in a theatrical setting, and an art direction lounge, exploring Wanders' role as Art Director for design brands, including moooi, is explored.
